The Christmas season is a favorite time for young souls, but for me, the magic night when all the relatives gathered at Grandma's house was by far the most special ever. Many old acquaintances would be renewed among the adults, but most of us kids were entirely new to each other. Although we were family, we had never met. Portions of the family had driven all day to meet at Grandma's. It was a major trip for most, but not for us.
