About this ebook

This is a story based on domestic animals who lived in a European village and belonged to my wife and myself. Everything in the story was real - even the wicked witch - although her house was not made of gingerbread.
In this particular European country, there is a festival in the Spring where the locals dress up in costumes that are made from animal skins. Because of this, any animal with an attractive skin had better watch out!
The story was intended for my granddaughter who grew up too quickly to appreciate it. Never mind; maybe it will appeal to your child or grandchild.

I am a retired electrical engineer and I live in Sheffield. I have a holiday home in a village in southern Bulgaria. I am managed by my third wife Norma, who is irrepressible and does her best to keep me from aging too rapidly. I have done a lot of DIY in my time - which is quite long - but these skills are receding with the onset of arthritis so I am trying to keep out of mischief by applying myself to more sedentary pursuits. I still like to play guitar despite the arthritis and anyway, now I have an excuse for my bad playing.
