    WHAT TRICKS NOW

    EXT. Back garden night.

Young Stan puts his bike away in his shed. Sees a big cat, runs to back door, shouts 'Grandpa come quick! There’s a big cat near your fish-pond' Grandpa jumps up grabs his torch on the way to the back door.

    STAN

I tell you granddad I saw it, a great big cat, black it were. Bigger than next doors Labrador 'Rocky', near your fish pond.

    GRANPA

Where is it Stan? Near my fish pond did you say,

    blimey my fish!

(He runs out into the garden with the torch on full beam.)

    Blind it this will!

    STAN

Don't it may still be there.

(and it is) All Grandpa sees is a pair of yellow unmoving eyes. He picks up a stone from the rockery and shouts 'Gerroutofit!' (stone misses target).

He hears a snarl and then sees a silhouette of a big cat on the garden fence, with fish in mouth by the light of the full moon. Bends down to pick up another stone. Too late, cat gone.

    GRANPA

Bloody hell! Too late (he mutters and trudges back into the house)

    STAN

are you all right, has it gone? (peering round back door)

    GRANPA

Yes, the crafty devil. With one of my best Koi Carp, ripped the wire netting up it did. I'm going for my dart rifle.

    STAN

Oh Granddad. Do you think that's a good idea?

    GRANPA

    Listen, what
