There are two things that completely fascinate me - the creative process and sex. I love laying in bed, in the dark, imagining things. These stories are the result of that. They come from that place - the dark. I like to think my stories contain an element of artistry (don't all?). But honestly, I write from a place that sometimes I don't understand. It is a journey. And I hope you enjoy it along with me.And thank you.

Tom looked at his phone. The red message light was flashing. He hadn't expected a reply so quickly. She had accepted his key, offered hers, and now had instant messaged him. He watched the message light blink a dozen times. Nervous, that perhaps he had taken a step a little too far, he picked up his phone and opened the message.

    Hi Stranger. New in town?

There was a small profile picture of a girl smiling into a camera. The picture was shadowy and dark and the girl in the picture had a brilliant smile. Her name was Jenna. Pleased, Tom instantly replied.

Hi Jenna. Wow. Are those true blue? Or are they fake?

Ha-ha. They’re real. I do sometimes wear contacts to enhance the color, but most people comment on my natural eye color, so I don’t usually need to wear them.

You have beautiful eyes. This would explain your handle - blueblueeyez.

    Yes it would.

    And what a great smile.

    Thank you.

    Excitement lit in Tom’s chest.

    Are you in the city?

    Yes.

Silly question really. Don’t worry, I’m not going to ask where

    you live.

Ok. I probably wouldn’t tell you anyway.

    We just met.

Exactly. You could be a serial killer.

    Tom smiled.

Have you been on this site long?

    Three months.

Really? Wow. So, you could say you are experienced. Wink wink.

    Ha-ha. Yes, somewhat.

And what is a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?

    Long story.

    I'm interested in hearing it.

    Are you sure?

    Yes.

Well, ok then. I'm here for a number of reasons. I have a very stressful life (doesn't everyone). Work keeps me busy, and stressed, but most of my stress is at home. My husband has been having a midlife crisis for about three years now, and I have a daughter with a chronic medical condition. And you know, other typical stuff, like just being a woman! lol. So, needless to say, I have this desire for a secret life, a separate life, something that is mine. I think sometimes that we all need to escape from reality.

Mid life crisis eh? I had one of those. I was a burned out zombie for about a year. Went on a three week vacation to Mexico and came back like new. As for your daughter and you, I feel for you. I really do. That must be tough. I can understand wanting a separate life. I can see that. I'm here for the same reasons. Life is very busy and there's more to it than just...? If that makes sense. The other reason is, though I hate to say it - boredom. If you know what I mean. My wife is the sexiest woman in the world to me. But I don't think she feels the same. Anyway. You don't want to hear about that. Hmm. Escaping reality? I think sometimes it’s nice to have something that makes reality easier. Listen, I have to go. But can I give you my email? Maybe you could send me one when you have a minute? Share some more info?

    Definitely.

    Ok. Have a good night.

    You too.

The next morning, while the house was still quiet, Tom woke, quickly reached for his phone, and saw the red message light flashing. He was excited to open the message but wanted to be alone, in private, to read it. He looked at his wife in the dark
