    Morgan’s Poem

I lost my life one June morn

Even in death I feel his scorn

My young life suddenly slipped away

No words will come what can I say

The locket I wore neatly tucked away

In a trunk now far far away

That day I breathed my last

My future will always be my past

An Indian came and rescued me

He took away the darkness so the light I’d see

    April 1912

The Titanic stood massive at 882 feet, deck hands were loading trunks and supplies before the maiden voyage could begin. The dock at South Hampton was crowded with passengers waiting to board. Mrs. Morgan Castle clutched her purse in one hand and fingered the locket around her neck; she absently touched her purse feeling for the ticket that would secure her freedom, her left foot touched the plank and she stopped, for just a second she thought of looking back then changed her mind. Morgan would never look back and at the voyage’s end was America.

Morgan sat up confused as to where she was, this wasn’t home then she looked around and realized it wasn’t a bad dream, there was really an Indian on the cot; Two bears was sitting on the cot next to her, he was watching her. Sorry I fell asleep. Morgan really looked at him now, watching him with a slight smile on her lips he was so handsome, she was surprised she hadn’t noticed that before, well really in the last few hours her thoughts were centered on the events unfolding on the Titanic, and was she really thinking about Two Bears now?

It’s alright Morgan I’m sure you needed it. Two Bears saw Morgan smiling and wondered what she could possibly be happy about. They were on a ship headed to a big city that neither of them had ever been to, with so many strangers and no idea of what was to come. He was confused and not at all happy with the turn of events. How did he get here and why, he had so many questions and no one to ask? What had happened the day he was thrown onto the ship? He wasn't sure, then there was Bear, he didn't look happy either.

I was dreaming about the day I boarded the Titanic. Now she truly frowned at the memory, her thoughts went back to that day and all that had transpired since she left South Hampton.

You will not likely forget that day for a long time to come. Two Bears was frowning, he too was thinking about that day. How could it be, what happened to him and Bear?

Your right about that, I think we made history today, the Titanic was supposed to be unsinkable. Have you ever been on a ship before? Morgan was watching Two Bears, he was such a likable person.

No this was the first. Two Bears couldn’t help but
