About this ebook

As long as we are on earth, we are bound to have storms. In this journey of life, we learn from experiences that come out of our storms. Perhaps, like Job, when God bragged about him to the devil, do you know whether that is your own case?

In all storms of life, be it spiritual, physical, emotional and financial, God has a way out for you and we must endeavor to look unto Him. This is a book written in the nick of time to show you how to swerve when life throws curves at you. Be blessed as you read.

    DEDICATION

I warmly dedicate this book to my late mother and my all around mentor, Eunice M. Eke-Igwe (Alias Mama 62). She was specially blessed among women with fourteen children. Mama 62, your commitment to God, family and humanity was the bedrock of your life, even in the midst of adverse circumstances. We thank God for a life well spent.

Also to my son, Emeka, whose sudden exit from this world broke our hearts. Only God could mend it.

I also dedicate the book to every woman on planet earth who has lost a husband or loved ones at one time or another. Take heart! God is your strength, so cast your burden on Him, because He is more than able to give rest to your soul.

I appreciate my five wonderful children namely Joy Dickson, Chikezie, Ikechukwu, Uchenna, Chukuwuemeka for allowing me to be a mother to them.

I want to thank Soji Mobolade for assisting me in typing part of the raw manuscript and Dorian Richwell who edited the manuscript. Thank you to Segun Adebayo and the rest of GodKulture staff for the production and development of this project.

Last but not the least, I would like to thank my husband, Samuel N. Ogor who afforded me the opportunity to go through some of these life experiences with him as a married woman for over 35 years.

    Preface

If there are people in our society that have the most unrealistic expectations placed on them to perform at unreasonable standards and never falter, it is women. Women are expected to be the great wife, the good mother, the good daughter and the good friend. As the life of a young woman unfolds before her, she is met with a variety of challenges and opportunities. It is in meeting these challenges that she develops qualities that earn her the title of woman.

Even though most women have these high expectations placed on them, thousands of women get up each day and give their all to prove that they are equal to any task. Though held to such unrealistic standards and ideals, more times than not, women rise to the occasion, overcome challenges in their lives and end up being a blessing to others. Some women have been beaten and abused by their loved ones, yet they have proven to be strong enough to weather the storms. God, each day, accomplishes miracles through these women in even the darkest moments of their lives.

Every Storm Disappears reveals the mind of God on how to overcome life’s challenges. It shows not only how to overcome the challenges of life, but also how to maintain a victorious attitude toward life. This book was born out of my personal life experience. I believe you did not pick up this book by chance. This thoughtful book is a must read for everyone.

May the spirit and message of this book inspire you to be a precious vessel honor in God’s hands in the name of Jesus, Amen!

    Introduction

Today many Christian women and mothers are faced with several forms of unspeakable trauma, discouragement, family challenges and abuse such as emotional, physical, psychological, sexual, and verbal abuse. There are so many forms of abuse that you can’t even name them all. Women of all races, cultures, and economic backgrounds are sorely abused, leaving them with serious wounds, blackened eyes, broken bones and swollen lips. Unfortunately they’ve become quite familiar with the local hospital emergency rooms, that nurse their many internal and external injuries.

Although the physical scars do heal in time; the emotional scars however, may never heal unless God ministers help and hope to the multitude of these hurting Christian (and non-Christian) women that are found inside, and outside of churches today; as their lives have been broken, shattered and crushed. These precious women are the statistical by-product of every dysfunctional family.

An isolated group of Christian women with very urgent needs require a special ministry that must be implemented in the body of Christ.

This book intends to minister to those beloved Christian women, mothers and sisters in the Lord who need to anchor themselves during this season and time in their lives in the help and hope of God’s word. Such cases as noted in this book, are only a secondary listing of the many traumatic abuses that are most often afflicted upon women in general, and also women of faith. However, the primary list of such evil abuses and afflictions would include the stories of all the female victims that tragically lost their lives in the fight.

Their voices, (if they were able to scream loud enough), were not heard in time to save them from their demise. But it is the will of God to save all of His children [sons and daughters] from the destruction of the enemy, and to make a way of escape from every storm. The objective of this book is to literally reach out to hurting women and mothers, from all walks of life.
