Mary held tightly onto her husband's arm, excited at the thought of visiting California. She had grown up in the south and had never stepped out of the region. Tom, her husband was a farmer, growing up through hard labor and now had one of the largest farms in their town. The two had just recently gotten married and though this trip wasn't a honeymoon, she had planned on making it one.

Ya got yer bags right? You make sure you don't got no liquids in yer carry on bags, Tom informed.

Tom was a scruffy, older man, his skin dark and dry from his years laboring on the farm. Mary, in stark contrast was more pale, younger, the southern belle of her small town. Some might have thought the two were father and daughter.

The two made their way to a small kiosk. Tom slid his card and tapped away at the screen. A tall black man stopped by with a smile.

Are you checking in bags? He asked.

Do ya see any bags? We're just carryin' our shit. Can't have people like you riflin' through my bags, Tom grunted.

The black man raised an eyebrow in amusement. You people?
