A native Texan, grandmother and crafter. I love creating and designing things. Crochet is relaxing for me so with that it's all about loving what you do. I love watching my work develop sometimes I have no idea what I'm go to make. It just happens! Though and idea will overwhelm my thoughts and I have to make it. That goes for all of my craft ideas. I enjoy pencil drawing just about as much as sewing which is equal to them all. I don't have time enough for my crafts, I have to stay up and work a little here and there. What's worse I have all these projects I want to try. A crafter from my heart. It's so rewarding when people like my work. My biggest challenge was to do my pattern book. Writing the patterns were challenging enough because I don't know what direct to go with a design sometimes so when it comes out. I would have to repeat the possess a few times to get it down. So time consuming is an understatement for putting together the over pattern book with picture guides. I'm a multi-task type person anyways so just getting it done was the ultimate goal. Now the major challenge the editing for SMASHWORDS!

PREFACE
The Crafty Cookie is Lucille Milo designer and crafter. Living in southern California for 30 years she is a native Texan. Also she has attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. At a very young age determined to be a designer. She had always wanted to know about crochet and knitting. She learned to sew from her mother and learned techniques in homemaking class in high school in the early 1970’s. Actually she said she is very good at it.
I had always wanted to learn to crochet or knitting. Just so happen while living in NYC a young girl 16 years old taught me the basic knit and purl stitches. About a year after that once I had knitting basics learned. I saw a lady sitting on the stoop of the brownstones apartments where we lived. She was crocheting these beautiful afghans. I watched for a while and she showed me how to start and a couple of the simple stitches. So that night I practiced and before morning I have made 6 simple hats. I still don’t know how I did it but I was proud of my work.
The one thing I didn’t know was how to read a pattern. I bought a beginners crochet book, learned some tips but to no avail reading patterns were still very tricky for me and still are. The very simple instructions I do pretty well on though unless I see some sort of demonstration it’s almost impossible for me to figure out some of them. One reason I would like to have instructional guides for all my written patterns in the future. Most of the patterns here have tutorials on my youtube.com/nequibah site. Though I have posted picture guides for a couple of the patterns listed in the book, and believe me time consuming other than just the crocheting the project but to film of get snap shots of stages and then writing the pattern. All I can say is whew! Actually my line of slippers and boots are part of my cozy cocoons designs you will see mention a few times but I was once threaten by a designer for using the words cozy cocoons
because had rights on cozy cocoons therefore now until I work out how or leave those words out. Now everyone reading these patterns they are simple enough to figure out. Not to make excuses but I warn all that because crochet has short hand abbreviation terminology and because long hand written crochet patterns would be pages and pages. Anyhow, if you have problems on the patterns that don’t have picture guides feel free to go to my youtube page and search in my tutorials surely you will find something that will help you get it done. Happy Hookin
Everyone!
