A Weekend in Heaven
()
About this ebook
Have you ever wondered what it will be like to die and go to Heaven?
What is heaven like? Is it all Angels and singing? Or is it a bit like down here on earth but without all the nasty things like illnesses, road rage, arguments, disasters etc.
Jesus said that he is going to prepare a place for us, where there are many mansions.
This short story / Novella is my take on what I think Heaven would be like (or what I hope it will be like)
I am driving along a long dark country lane, when suddenly a deer jumps out and hits my car, sausing it to swerve off the road and hit a tree. I am airlifted by helicopter to hospital, where I am rushed to surgery. Unfortunately, I go into a coma and 'die' on the operating table. I find myself in heaven, where I meet up with some old buddies who have got there before me.
I won't tell you any more, as it will spoil it for you.
If I get enough readers to like this book, I might write a sequel.

It was a cold dark and misty winter’s night, I had to go and pick up my other half from Work in the nearby town, which was a short drive of around 8 miles away down a narrow country lane that our family had always nicknamed 'Death Alley'. We called it this because of its lethal reputation;
Death Alley has claimed several lives over the years. It is a long straight road through open countryside and through dense woodland / forest. Large oak and Chestnut trees overhang the road and meet like outstretched arms in the middle of the road. The road, which is a single lane in each direction (with no dividers) is long and straight, but deceptive. It rises and falls repeatedly over a 5 mile stretch, leading the driver, especially ones who are not used to the road, to think that nothing is coming in
