About the author

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Here’s a story about a winged kid (that’s me) and my clan of winged children. We all were raised in a lab, known as the school (not a fun place to put it short), until we escaped (by flying). My name is Stella, and I have wings (bat wings). The rest of my clan: is Fang, Kyro, Luna, Sky, and Moon and they also have wings (bat wings) and this is our story. We now live in a house far up from a town on a hill in Arizona. It’s peaceful here, no people, no crazy scientists (aka black coats we would call them), no Sisha’s (big lion dog talking demons that guarded the School), and no hunters. Fang and I are 19, Sky is 17, Kyro is 15, Luna is 13, and Moon, little Moon is 10.

I looked around the quiet house. No one was awake. Then I saw a shadow and I did a full on twisted kick but Fang caught my leg fast. What are you doing up? I asked. Fang let go of my leg and said in his grim voice came to check on things. I then said, It’s safe for now looking around as I walked around the house. Fang walked to the sliding door leading to the balcony and said, I’ll check outside, ok. He looked at me. I nodded in approval. Fang opened the sliding door, the cold night air rushed in the house. He walked out on the balcony, snapped opened his 8 feet wingspan black wings, and jumped then soared in the sky. I watched as he flew then continued to check around before I sat on the couch. When Fang came back, he closed the door and said to me it’s all clear I said weird? Fang nodded then went to his room.

When the sun came up I was sleeping in my bed, Moon woke me up. Her blonde hair was messy, but she was dressed already. I said still sleepy what’s wrong sweetie and sat up. Moon said to me can you do my hair. I said ok and began to do her hair in a ponytail.

After we went downstairs to the kitchen to see, everyone do his or her usual thing. Sky, and, Luna setting the table; Kyro cooking; and Fang… where was Fang? Moon went to help Sky and Luna; Fang came behind and tapped me on the shoulder. I jumped, turned to him and said, Don’t do that. Fang just smiled. I asked Kyro what are you cooking? Kyro said eggs and waffles. I said yum and went to the back door, opened it and snapped opened my 8 feet wingspan reddish black wings and said to Fang "I’ll be right back; going
