    Meet the Author

    Introduction - Quality Over Quantity

Kindle is hot; you get it and I get it. I have been publishing on Kindle since it began in 2007. I presently have almost 200 books published on Kindle alone and this doesn’t even take into account the other 200 plus ePublishing platforms where I publish and sell my stuff. But with that said, it would be quite easy to misunderstand the purpose of this book. My aim is not to get you to pump-out garbage books with very little quality in order to have some vast library of authored content where you can make money as an author by volume alone. If you do this, you will eventually fall on your own sword since Amazon’s stated goal is quality versus quantity. Furthermore, your name is on this product and this should be enough to make you WANT to produce quality stuff.

My goal is to demonstrate a system…a packaged program where you can easily and effectively…and QUICKLY… write Kindle books in hours that will sell and that are good quality workmanship too.

There are a few things you need to learn about Kindle and Amazon, especially when you sign up for a Kindle Direct Publishing account. Be sure to read the terms of service so that you do not violate any of Amazon’s rules. If you do, Amazon could de-list your books and even worst, you could lose your KDP account.

The first thing I want to teach you is the most import thing and forgive me for repeating myself again:

ALWAYS PUBLISH QUALITY WORK! DO NOT PUBLISH JUNK!

Your name is on these books and if you get a reputation of publishing junk it will stick with you and stereotype you in your efforts.

The next thing I want to teach you is equally important:

IF YOU WRITE DIFFERENT BOOKS FOR DIFFERENT GENRES THEN USE DIFFERENT PENNAMES SO AS NOT TO CONFUSE YOUR READERS.

I write in over a dozen pennames because I write in many different genres. I am a behavioral scientist and as a doctor, I write a good amount of non-fiction books dealing in the human mind. I also put myself through 10-years of college as a standup comic so when I write humor books, it is under a different name. I have six novels published, and yes all under a different penname. Can you see why? My readers would quickly become confused looking for human mind stuff and finding humor books or novels, etc.

Next, when you publish on Kindle, be sure to post your author info at Amazon’s Author Central:

    https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/home

This shows your readers that you are a real person with a picture and everything. It also displays all of your books in one setting. Do the same with your pennames but for pennames use an avatar in lieu of your photo.

You are going to need some resources. PLR (private label rights) sites where you can get some really cool stuff to spin into some neat Kindle books. But wait! According to Kindle’s terms of use, they do not allow PLR!!! Ah, they don’t but the operative word here is SPIN and I will show you how to spin the PLR into unique content…and it is all about unique content.

    Go here for PLR:

I have also placed my free desktop article spinner in the download page with the Kindle template. You can install this on your desktop and spin articles right from your computer.
