    I moved into my neighborhood about 5 years ago after my divorce was settled. The house was not too large, about right for an aging bachelor to take care of by himself. After over 20 years of marriage I made the decision to enjoy my solitude for a little while. That little while has lasted to this day and I have no real desire to chance my situation. I have found that I enjoy my time alone in the house thanks mainly to the many friends I have made in the neighborhood.

    The first family to extend themselves to me and with whom I became good friends with was Bill and Wendy. They lived across the street with their teenage daughter Brittney and, after about a year a son Bill Jr. Bill was a successful account manager and Wendy was a housewife who enjoyed being available to her children. I enjoyed many evenings playing poker in their garage or enjoying some time over the grill on their back deck.
