The Zac Black Chronicles: The Majestic Four
()
About this ebook
“Lana! Lana! Lana!” Zac continued as if he was repeating a well worn mantra. “Why must I always hear that blasted woman’s name? Everywhere I turn I hear her name. Everywhere I go there it is something to remind me of her, my nemesis, the Klingon to my Captain Kirk, the cylon to my Adama and you!” Zac shouted pointing an accusing finger at Irene. “You are my Baltar!”
In the Majestic Four our hero Zac Black finally discovers what his nemesis has in store for him and to his horror it involves a Koala Bear and to make matters worse Zac’s best friend has eaten all the pepperoni!

Like so many of his evenings, in fact like almost every evening, Zac Black could be found lying on his bed, remote control in hand watching the latest offerings from his favorite TV channels. Unlike most channels nineteen year old boys usually switched over to, Zac Black’s favorite TV channels didn’t provide wall to wall coverage of the Premier League or premiere the latest Hollywood blockbuster only six short months after he’d watched it on DVD. Watching overpaid footballers dive like gymnasts didn’t interest Zac and the special effect laden science fiction epics merely brought a shake of the head and maybe a contemptuous laugh when he saw them being advertised. Because unlike most of the nineteen year old boys you see hanging around in clubs and pubs, Zac Black knew the truth. And the reason he knew the truth was because the type of channels he liked to watch told him the truth.
Science TV may not have been owned by a certain monopoly, which liked to pretend it didn’t rule the airwaves, and it never showed rehashed or rereleased American science fiction shows but what it did broadcast was irrefutable evidence which once seen could only make you believe. And when Zac Black wasn’t watching Science TV he could be found glued to Outer Space, which wasn’t a channel dedicated to closed minded academics but a portal for anyone who truly wanted to know the truth. Zac had first taken the plunge many years ago, round about the same time some of his acquaintances at school had developed an interest in Home Economics, especially in the production of what they liked to call their special muffins. In a moment of muffin induced enlightenment he had opened his mind to what Science TV and Outer Space were trying to tell him and now Zac Black knew the truth. We weren’t alone in the universe! Hell, we weren’t even alone on planet Earth!
Zac Black wasn’t your average inner city reared delinquent. True he’d had the same basic education provided by the state high school system as all the other kids in his town. After a decade of forced learning he’d left the system with a diploma in truancy, larceny and even during an unfortunate accident with an exploding shepherd pie, arson but this was not what had shaped Zac Black. You see the first thing you’d notice if you ever saw Zac walking towards you, after overcoming your initial fear you were about to be stampeded under foot by an escaping hippopotamus from the local zoo, would be that Zac was what the do gooders and Guardian readers of this world would call big boned and the rest of us would simply call fat. At twenty three stone and rising Zac had always attributed his immense bulk to defective genes which he blamed on his mother’s side of the family. His mother had herself once topped thirty stone! But to his dismay Zac had noticed, over the last few months, his mother had started to reduce her once considerable frame and was now slowly returning to something vaguely resembling a human being. Irene, Zac’s mother liked to attribute her vanishing waistline to her chastising appearance on This Morning but Zac secretly believed the true reason had more to do with the microwave blowing up just before Christmas.
But you’d be wrong in thinking, if you ever did come across Zac waddling towards you down the street, that his twenty three stone frame was the reason he was different to your average teenager. What truly set Zac aside from his peers and indeed managed to create around
