Olivia, a human, and Ivy, a vampire, are twins. However, they were adopted by different families. Both want to know about their birth parents but it seems as though very little information is known about them. Now Serena Star, star of The Morning Star news program, starts snooping around believing there is something sinister happening in Franklin Grove and she is out to expose it. Will she? Will others learn that Olivia and Ivy are twins? Will their parents learn of it?I enjoyed this quick read. I like the differences between Olivia and Ivy but I like that they know of each other. I appreciate that they help one another also. Their personalities are different but compliment each other. I wish Ivy's father did not dismiss her wanting to find her birth parents. She took the initiative to find them but there's a mystery there. I look forward to reading more of this series to get my questions answered.

This was a fangtastic book! Of course not much changed except for the fact that a (anoying) news reporter tried to prove that vampires exist! Yes, this reporter's name was Serena Star and her "motto" was, "The star of truth must shine!" (lame) Anyway, throughout this book Serena keeps snooping around and seeing evidence. As good as this news is no one can find out! It's the First Law of Night (no vampires are allowed to tell humans that they really truely exist). Even though Ms.Star knows real facts, Ivy and (her twin) Olivia have to trow her off track. If they do this then, hopefully, she won't spill a word. Oh, no no no. THey must not know who she is, because Serena will fight to the end, just to get the truth out there! This is going to be a lot of work for a couple of teens. Luckly, they have their friends on their side (since some are vampires). Coming up with plans is not so easy with a news reporter sneaking around every corner.Yes, in the end Serena Star turns out looking crazy infront of the (LiVE!) camera, trying to get Ivy to cough up the truth. Serena Star, being a desparate lunatic, gives Ivy a glass of holy water and holding out the bible(thinking that she'll burn into a million pieces), like that's going to happen (only happens in movies and it's a myth). Luckly before Serena used even more anti-vampire stuff, Olivia and Ivy (being identica twins) switch places (while Serena is distracted) and fool Ms.Star once and for all (Olivia had to even eat garlic, disguised as Ivy, to prove to Serena that vampires don't exist, and that it's all in her head). Like a four-leaf clover, the sisters ha good luck, because the secret was never told on the news after all.I thought this is book was literally packed with surprises and cameras in the pages (Serena Star is a lady who believes that the truth must be heard, and won't let anything get in her way if it doesn't). Keeping secrets isn't isn't a really hard thing to do. It's having to trick people to think that there is no secret. 'Hide', that would be a nice word to describe what Olivia and Ivy have to do (DON'T TELL ANY ONE THAT VAMPiRES EXIST!). But, that sneaky sneaky, news lady just doesn't give up without a fight. It's actually funny at some things the charactes in this book have to do to trick Serena Star. Especially, when it's all fake and she falls for it. What a book!

When Olivia Abbot moves she finds a twin she never knew about, Ivy. The two of them are like chalk and cheese and as they get to know each other they discover just how different they are. It's readable but not really memorable and I'm not rushing out to get the next in the series.

My sister the vampire is about this girl named Olivia, and she moves and goes to a new school. Then Olivia runs into Ivy. Ivy is a goth and a iwerd girl that Olivia thought was not going to be her friend. After they were parerned up together, they soon find out they have the sme neckles they both say is the only thing they have from the parent before the vaished. Then they relized under the black and pink makeup they were wearing they were identical twins. They were so surprised and were ready to take on anything. Then they disited they were going to switch and be the other twin. They started to do this thing everyday and soon they were mixed up. A afternoon when the girls were hanging out Olivia found out something very wierd. Ivy is a vampire, and so were all her friend. Now Olivia felt very uncomfortible with switching and hanging out with vampire. Olivia relized that vampires were people to and that was what her sister was, and she learnd to except her and her friends. I liked this book because of the surprizes it throws in. Also the detale was great, I felt very into it. I just think it should have a little more of Ivys point of view. This book sucked (sucked mean good in this book).

My Sister The Vampire written by Sienna Mercer is a captivating book if you really enjoy reading about vampires or if you don’t. My Sister The Vampire (switched) is the first book out of four of the serious. The book, Switched, is about a girl named Olivia who moves to another school called Franklin Grove. One day Olivia accidently bumps into her long lost twin sister, Ivy. Olivia and Ivy become best friends at first but after a while they realize they look the exact same. Having a twin sister made everything so much easier because Ivy had a chance to go out with boy of her dreams but also had to attend a meeting. Olivia would dress up as Ivy and go to the meeting so Ivy could go on the date with the boy of her dreams. After getting to know each other, Olivia discovered the truth about her long lost twin sister Ivy being a vampire. The style of the writing is easy to understand and it flows well which makes it easy to read. My Sister The Vampire has a lot of different settings throughout the book although it can be confusing because it could be Olivia’s turn at telling the story and then it jumps to Ivy’s and she is set in a total different setting. I enjoyed Switched a lot that I am reading the second one of the serious called Fangtastic and I can’t wait to finish this one so I can read the third book. Although the book is about vampires it isn’t scary. I recommend it children and teenagers.

This book was Amazing. Olivia moves away to a new school, Franklin Grave. Everything is different. Ivy becomes Olivia's friend at first, but then they notice that they are actually twin sisters! Since then everything was very confused, but being twin sister makes everything soooooo much easier! For example, Ivy's dream boy who she had also loved talked to her and asked them out. Later that day Sophia (Ivy's best friend) reminds Ivy she promised to go to the planning comitee for the All Hallow Ball. Ivy is horrified! what is she going to do! luckily her twin sister Olivia is to the rescue! Read this book and find out all about the Olivia's twin sister the VAMPIRE!
