About this ebook
One of the rare changes thought to be in line with puberty and menopause is a skin disorder known as Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS).
This uncommon skin ailment has alarmed medical practitioners and concerned individuals. The rate of occurrences is difficult to accurately report because victims of this disease sometimes conceal their condition even from close friends and family members. Due to this, the illness typically goes undiagnosed for years and is frequently misdiagnosed by medical professionals. Only relatively few medical experts are able to recognize the disease and when they do, recommended treatments are just temporary, often ineffective and sometimes even harmful. As of the time of writing, there is no known cure that is consistently effective. One remedy may work for one person but may not be effective to others.
There are various triggers to this disease and your genetics and hormonal activities play major roles in its development. No one is exempted from going through all changes that life cycle may bring. You are faced with uncertainty because no exact guidance in preventing HS is available. Nonetheless, you can prepare yourself from its effects by acquiring awareness and appropriate knowledge. If you’re already suffering from HS, you need to learn more about your condition. Then, you can be guided accordingly so you can manage symptoms effectively and successfully fight with the disease as you seek professional help.

Introduction
Your body changes every day. Some changes are unnoticeable while others gradually become obvious. As you pass through the stage of puberty, you will experience the most confusing and awkward body development both physically and emotionally. Later in life, you will then struggle either with women’s menopause or men’s andropause. Sad to say, not all changes are pleasant. Several factors within and around you can trigger unpleasant development. One of the rare changes thought to be in line with puberty and menopause is a skin disorder known as Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS).

Overview
Hidradenitis suppurativa is defined as a chronic form of skin acne also known as acne inversa
. This condition leads to inflammation of the skin marked by the appearance of tender lumps or lesions and blackheads. These lumps can manifest in a form as small as a pea and can be as large as baseballs. Recurrent boil-like lumps known as abscesses are swollen, red and painful. As deep seated lumps develop, they break open and drain pus. Several recurrences may result in scarring.
This skin disorder usually affects body areas that bear apocrine sweat glands like the underarms, inner thighs, breasts, groin and buttocks. Aprocrine sweat glands have
