Happy - HarmonicDiscordance
to everyone who has ever loved me
I’m sorry
My Plan for the Future
Poetry festers inside of me like a tumescent growth, so I will tear it out and hold it aloft as a pulsating trophy
Millions will stare and clap and admire me, as I wander through the grimy streets, fist thrust far into the air
But even as this great procession spreads I begin to feel a pain spearing through my distorted organs
So I cringe, and gaze across a million vacant faces, and try to find one that will tell me that it will be alright
They all watch intently, as I curl and writhe and gasp, tears welling and subsiding in a grotesque rhythm
The crowd begins to leave, I shake and twitch, spilling words across the streets, a flood of unintelligible sound
My eyes blink rapidly, still searching for something to cling to, but there are only a thousand bodies twisted towards the exit.
My chest heaves, and I begin to reach inside myself, grasping another poem, gritting my teeth as I pull outwards again.
Ravage your body such that no disease can exist in it.
