About this ebook
I kind of feel like a fifth wheel lately. Carla and Deanna both have something romantic going on with Roger. Whatever went on after the soccer game I’ll never know, but my sisters are now sharing Roger. Sometimes Deanna sleeps with him, sometimes Carla sleeps with him. The only reason I know this is that Carla has asked that I keep my bedroom door open on the nights when she sleeps downstairs with Roger, just in case the girls need anything.
Outwardly, nothing has changed. Carla and Roger still go into work together each morning. Deanna still comes home every night and makes dinner for all of us. The kids are still kids, enjoying having three moms and one dad always on hand to play with or fix an accident with a hug and a kiss. If I didn’t know any better I’d say all families were this happy.

I'm a married thirty something who holds down a job and writes sporadically on the side. I do more reading and writing than I will ever do of cleaning. Besides, who wants to clean when you can use your imagination and have a household of servants doing it for you. I do like to cook, but my husband is lucky if there is food available when a good book is in my hands. A plea from this author: As much as reviews sometimes are painful, I do enjoy constructive criticism. Please leave a review of my work(s) especially, if you really thought they were good:)

The Miracle
Deanna-July
I am thirty seven years old. I was happily married for 15 years to my college sweetheart. We met when we both had no money, we got married and for the first five years of our married life we struggled with student debt and underpaid employment. The next ten were blissful. One Saturday morning he went out for a run; he collapsed about four hundred yards from home. He was an active runner. He ran marathons in his spare time. In all aspects he was healthy. He ate regularly balanced meals with fresh fruits and vegetables. We always joked that I would die of a heart attack first because I don’t even own a pair of sneakers and I eat donuts for breakfast. It was a shock. We never had kids. The doctors told me long ago I have a condition that prevents me from carrying a child to full term. We could have adopted, we chose not to. We both had nieces and nephews and as teachers we both had plenty of kids at school.
When he died we were eight years away from owning our own home. Payments were very manageable on our salaries. We took one really big vacation every year and spent most of our summers at the beach. Any extra cash we saved, we also both had sizable life insurance policies. Our employers helped us set them up shortly after we married. So it came as no shock when his will was read and I received all the income of his insurance policy, all two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars of it. I had some serious decisions to make.
I live quite a distance from my family. When we graduated from college it was easier to find work if you were not tied to a certain location. We accepted the first jobs that would take us, these jobs took us farther away from our families then we would have liked. It’s hard to visit relatives when it takes hours to drive to see them only to turn right around and get back in the car to go home. Sometimes we would stay overnight, but it would be rare. One of the first decisions I made was to try and find a job closer to my parents and sisters. With the insurance money I could afford to take a hit in pay. It took me six months, but I found a job. I have one month before that job starts and I need to buy a new house and sell our
house. It’s going to be hard, but
