    One: What is Reactive Hypoglycemia?

Reactive hypoglycemia, or postprandial hypoglycemia is a condition where the sugar-level in the blood becomes very low and drops below normal. Hypoglycemia is common in children aged below 10 or in people who are diabetics. In young children, this condition occurs because they experience fast growth and their bodies are in a dire need of a continuous supply of glucose. Hypoglycemia may also occur in children aged above 10 and adults but mostly, this is the case when that person is a diabetic. Sometimes, this condition may also occur due to the malfunctioning of different hormones in the body such as adrenaline. Out of every 10 young women, two to three suffer from reactive hypoglycemia. The condition is more common among obese women and is relatively rare in people who are aged above 45.

The sugar contained in the blood is known as glucose. Glucose is an important source of energy to our body. Glucose can be found in different foods such as bread, potatoes, milk, rice, fruits and sweets.
