      From earliest childhood, Cassius had surrounded himself with beautiful things. Using the money he had inherited from his grandfather, he bought a beautiful house, beautiful furnishings, beautiful jewelry, and beautiful clothes. Everything around him was beautiful, though nothing was quite able to match his own beauty.
