About this ebook

Wicked Wolf Shifters Serial, volume 1, part 2

"I highly recommend this serial to my wolf lovin' friends who love screaming when the book ends because of the devilish cliffhanger that leaves you screaming for the next book!!!"

***this is a CLIFFHANGER short novella that is part of a serial. This is NOT a full-length book.***

Cassandra Wakefield's life will never be the same again. She lost the town draw and had to willingly surrender herself, body and soul, to the Wicked Wolf Shifters Pack. But something unheard of happened during the traditional initiation ceremony. Something amazing, shocking...and very much against the rules.

Pack alpha Trevor's life has been irrevocably rocked. What the gorgeous, impertinent human woman means to him should be an impossibility, and allowing her into his bed, his life, and his heart will utterly change everything. But not even this always-in-control alpha can predict what will happen after Cassandra is formally claimed by the pack.

To the reader: This story contains hot sex with all the dirty details, naughty language, characters who say "oh, hell yeah" to the fun times, the potential edges of shifter violence, and yes, a cliffhanger. If that isn't your thing, this story probably won't be either. But if all that sounds great, this short serial is for you!

Claimed by the Pack - Anna Craig

    1

Cassandra Wakefield opened her eyes in the sort of refreshed anticipation that meant she had slept soundly. Very soundly, in fact. Probably because—

Oh. Right. Her face flushed as the memories stampeded across her brain in all their shamelessly hot glory. Because she'd spent the night being ravished, ravaged, plundered, and pillaged by the sexiest alpha werewolf she'd ever seen. Again and again, until she was so sore it was bizarrely pleasurable. Even more bizarre, the man who'd done it was her—her mate. As in, her werewolf mate. Which was totally impossible, because she was a human and he was a werewolf. Werewolves didn't mate with humans. They took them as surrenders from Cassie's hometown. The used them for sex, had fun with them, required them as sacrifices for some mysterious reason, but they sure didn't become mates with them.

Except apparently when it was Trevor Reginald, Alpha of the Wicked Mountain Wolf Pack, and Cassie Wakefield, the town's latest human surrender. Then, apparently they were fated mates or something equally crazy.

Oh, and because of it, she was supposed to be killed by his pack. One of his haughty, drop-dead gorgeous female werewolves had said so, glaring nasty daggers at Cassie the entire time she shared that little tidbit of knowledge. No pressure there, of course. Even though just thinking about it made Cassie tremble a bit. She'd be really happy to never see that particular werewolf again.

Before any supposed gruesome killing of the latest pack surrender happened, though, Trevor had decided the best thing to do was to have a little more fun with her again. Not that Cassie complained about it. No way. Trevor was everything she'd ever dreamed of. He was so hot it scorched her brain, melted her body, and basically turned her into a puddle of helpless goo.

And something hidden deep in his gorgeous aqua eyes tugged at her heart. Something lost and maybe even—lonely.

Cassandra. She jumped a bit at the rumbling sound of his deep voice right in her ear. You are awake. You slept well?

Cassie turned her head to look at him. The dark, tousled head of the scary alpha of the Wicked Mountain wolf pack was propped up on his hand. The eyes she could float in for days regarded her, a slight line etched above them in his forehead. But they were sort of soft, and unfocused. Almost a little gentle, even.

She smiled at him. I did. Sir, she added cautiously. He was still the alpha. She was still kind of a surrender. Sort of. Maybe. No matter what, she'd been here less than twenty-four hours and definitely was still the vulnerable one in this situation. Even after the most spectacular sex of her life—crazy hot, mind-blowing, life-altering, all those amazing things she'd only ever read in the sexy books she liked, and had discovered were actually true—Cassie knew she really should be respectful in this man's presence.

Even if she was his mate.

Trevor regarded her for another long moment, wordless and expressionless. He did that look really well. Granite-hard, stone-faced, totally unreadable. It about made her itch with jumpy nerves when he did it, but in the bare twelve hours she'd known this man—which was total crazy talk, right there—she'd slowly realized he wore that expressionless expression pretty often.

Except when he was plunging into her, driving his, um, his frankly gorgeous cock deep into her, and fixing her with his eyes. Then, other things happened to his face. Heart-melting things because his own face softened into something Cassie already was pretty sure he rarely showed. If ever.

Hmm, he finally said. That is respectful, yes. But perhaps it might not be strictly necessary any longer. He tilted his dark head a bit to the side, still looking at her. Cassie felt the slow heat building in her again. Wow. Despite understanding your place within this pack, it is unseemly for you to call me sir all the time. You only need to do so in public, he ended on a bit of a grand note, sounding somewhat pleased, as if congratulating himself on a decision well-made.

    Um. No.

Cassie pushed herself upright. A silken royal blue sheet slipped off her body, though it had hardly been necessary with the gentle summer day percolating outside the window. The window—and the sheet—of her new home. Trevor's quarters, as he'd called them last night. Quarters, room, palatial space, whatever. It was huge and furnished with things she knew had to be worth thousands of dollars. Each. The wolf pack clearly was loaded beyond belief. Cassie'd always known the pack lived in an enormous house that was more like a castle than a mere home, but seeing the inside of it told her they were even wealthier than she'd ever dreamed possible. She was living a fairytale.

With some wicked bad monsters. And one really arrogant guy who seriously belonged in some old-time century, alpha or no.

You, and she stabbed him in his decidedly sculpted chest with one accusatory finger, told me I'm your mate. You whisked me off to this—this palace of a bedroom, and she wildly gesticulated around the trappings that just screamed outrageously expensive, made mad crazy love to me all night long, and now you're telling me I only need to call you sir in public? Really?

Cassie's chest heaved with the indignant passion of her words. Trevor's gaze slide to her naked breasts. His
