The channel OF LOVE

THE STORY SO FAR: Kathy and Lisa have accepted an invitation from Kathy’s old school friend Nina to stay with her in her farmhouse in Sidari, Corfu, and participate in some of her creative workshops on the island. The two friends are both recovering from painful break-ups, and the sunshine, combined with life-drawing and Greek cookery classes and the ‘free-spirited’ Nina’s optimistic intentions to celebrate their shared singledom, all seem like the perfect way to put men behind them. Sidari is also home to a stretch of water called The Channel of Love.

Local folk legends claim that couples swimming in its waters will fall in love. Will the women manage to resist the romantic lure of The Channel? Kathy is the first to be tested when they attend a life-drawing class in a converted fish market. The model turns out to be someone from her past – the red-headed and devilishly handsome Cam Hunt.

Cam Hunt stepped out from behind the fish counter, where he’d been removing his clothes. He pulled himself up onto the plinth and sat swinging his legs over the edge and looking rather boyish. He ran a hand self-consciously through his beard as his eyes swept over the class, who were busily setting up easels.
