FOR THE LAST 19 YEARS OF MY LIFE, I’ve heard the tales and been warned to stay away. The thing is though, I’m not a very good listener. I got lost in the magic. He scented me. He claimed me with a bite on my neck. And I ran. Quickly and with a new terror racing in my heart.

I swore I would never return. I would not trust the magic and allow it to entrance me again. I would not risk being caught in the hands of the Beast again.

But that was months ago and I miss the magic. Not only that, but I dream of the beast. It’s not a dream I’d admit to out loud, but it’s a dream I’d like to see come true.

3.5 stars for me. This feels like it needed one more round of edits so the writing isn’t too redundant. Also, wish the author described the beasts features earlier in the story rather than toward the end. And I wish the author explained why Elle was able to get the magic to like her—I was hoping it was because her mother was a witch. I also docked a star for the voice actress not going all in with the big scream. It felt so forced and fake

Couldn’t finished it but pushed through to over 70%
The initial sexual fantasy the Beast has sounds like a male with an unhealthy porn addiction. I think slapping, choking and gagging is so unappealing. Fortunately besides the overbearing dominance that didn’t play out with the virginal MC as far as I read. I wish I hadn’t wasted my time but I wanted to give it a chance to redeem itself, it did not. Sorry.

lol can I get my credit back for a different book? I’m sure reading the paper back. I would’ve liked this book well enough to finish it but honestly, the voice actors for the audiobook are so bad. I literally can’t finish it and I’ve never not finished a book before.

DNF 50% just too much repetitive inner dialogue and no progress, no plot, no nothing to grab my attention. I habitually finish almost any book but as it's not going anywhere my attention keeps drifting away and I don't want to waste another 4h of my life.

I DNF this book at chapter 5 ! Absolutely no story just sex and thoughts about sex !! Definitely not for me , the story would have been good if it didn’t start with spicy and continued through all the chapters !
(I don’t mind the spice , I read a lot of it ) but this has no character development, no emotions , anything really ! Just a horny beast and a horny woman !
