About this audiobook
London, 1880. When accounts clerk Ernest Stibbins approaches the World's End investigation bureau with wild claims that his wife Albertina has been warned by her spirit guides that someone is out to harm her, the bureau's owner Lily Raynor and her new employee Felix Wilbraham are sceptical.
How are the two private enquiry agents supposed to investigate threats from beyond the grave? But after she attends a seance at the Stibbins family home, Lily comes to realize that Albertina is in terrible danger. And soon, so is Lily herself....

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An enjoyable, quirky Victorian mystery. The ending was a bit OTT but the characters and the mysteries were thoroughly engaging.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well written and fantastic narration. I enjoyed it and am starting the next one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fascinating Victorian murder mystery with an excellent narrator. The intrepid Lily Raynor, former nurse and now head of the World’s End Detective Bureau and her newly hired assistant Felix Wilbraham are investigating possible threats to a respectable young wife who happens to be a medium. There have also been a number of ladies, many of them prostitutes, who have disappeared from this woman’s neighborhood. Are the two things connected?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this read and the characters are the best. I loved how they met and the job she does so well already and now with her new employee they can handle more cases. I liked how there was more than one case being worked on at the same time.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I really liked this book the characters and story lines up and it's not long and boring some languages and too much information was a little too coarse but the story told my attention so I over look it the narrator was good
