Kate Khavari

Kate Khavari is the author of fiction ranging from historical mysteries to high-fantasy epics. She has her parents to thank for her fascination with historical mysteries, as she spent the majority of her childhood memorizing Sherlock Holmes’s and Poirot’s greatest quips. A former teacher, she has a deep appreciation for research and creativity, not to mention the multitasking ability she now relies on as an author and stay-at-home mother to her toddler son. She lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

I enjoyed this sequel and am looking forward to the next! I like that the characters and their relationships are nuanced, and I adore the friendship of Elizabeth and Saffron. The narrator is top tier, very soothing but also engaging. I’ll be looking for books she’s narrated in the future

I gave the first book 4.5 stars, and I was looking forward to reading the second book, just to be disappointed.
it's not only that I didn't like the story, but also I couldn't stand the characters (characters whom I loved very much in the first book!)
I don't know how to feel about the author, and I'm wondering whether I should continue with the book series.

I loved the first book and the majority of this one but the end seemed rushed and honestly fumbled.

I loved it! I think I liked it even more than the 1st book. But just by a hair. The narrator has a pleasant voice and I loved listening to it.
