- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5a lot of conversations in this book. the book only started making sense 2/3 of the way. it was good but would have loved a bit more description of the surroundings. very cute story though
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The overall story of Cassidy was very romantic and contained some good action and suspense and I liked it. I did not like it as much as some other [author: Lori Wick] books I have read however. There was an awkwardness in the writing that I did not understand, every so often it would say "that lady" instead of "she" and it always made me stop and pause losing where I was because it stood out so much. I do look forward to reading [book: Sabrina] soon.

I like her historical fiction best so I was pleased she took a break from contemporary fiction to write another historical series. I am missing the depth of character that I had come to expect with Wick's books. I do love how she weaves study of the scripture into her stories.
