I admit, I am a huge fan of Janette Oke but I believe this was the first time I’ve read one written in collaboration with her daughter and I was not disappointed.
Very heartwarming story that left me wanting more.

Emotionally dramatic interwoven storyline of various orphans at different stages of life learning to trust despite broken expectations in the past. Overall, a creative and believable plot, with good co versation. Following the loss of her adoptive mother, the main character develops faith and a deeper appreciation for her adoptive father's love after choosing to go a separate path to find a long-lost sister. Finding a calling and fulfillment in caring for other orphaned children, she and her sister face unexpected challenges and also find new friends and allies. Cliffhanger ending . . . Also refreshing that sweet romantic attraction along the way does not overpower the story.
