This is a lovely little book of daily devotionals, written by a woman who is a quadriplegic. She is someone who understands waiting, having to be patient, being still, and she writes about her observations and weaves them into Biblical truths. I especially liked the very last devotional, on how we get a little glimpse of heaven perhaps, in those childhood memories where we felt peace, bliss and had carefree days... Another amazing part of this book was the illustrations. Despite being paralyzed, Joni Eareckson Tada sketches. With a special pencil she holds in her mouth. Her drawings are throughout the book- something I marveled at and enjoyed almost as much as the writing.
