RAVEENA

Astrobe of purple light descends from the cosmic sky. A forcefield of ethereal energy ripples throughout Mother Earth, perfuming the land with floral notes and filling the air with melodic harmonies from the heartstrings of Punjab. It’s time to prepare for extraterrestrial spiritual landing - The Space Princess has arrived! In her pursuit to bestow divine wisdom on earthly humans, Raveena blooms like a lotus under her guidance. Both entities collide from different elements, and embark on the voyage of self discovery and balance. In this land, darkness learns to love the light. Chaos is trained by meditation. It’s Asha’s Awakening! Riding high from the release of her debut album Lucid in 2019, Raveena’s second studio album cemented her status as a musical force who strives to bring an abundance of spiritual awareness, love and universal healing into her artform. A first-generation descendant of genocide survivors and Reiki healers, the Indian-American songstress uncovered her medium early in life and it’s been impossible to turn off that spark since. Asha’s Awakening endeavors to transport the listener to a lighter space and dive beautifully into the fabric of her Indian culture. Here we speak to Raveena on her ascending stardom, the experience of being a queer Brown woman in the music space, and literally the meaning of life!
