It’s truly BEAUTIFUL. The booklet itself (which I own), is pretty and glossy with lovely deep colors. Love the newer Act of Contrition. Learning the history of this devotion is wonderful too. It’s nice having it all in one booklet.

I’m still attached to the original old fashioned “base” prayers (nine daily changing prayers) to some extent. Two sentences in the original steady, daily second paragraph that help to impart great faith and “belief” for the praying person (thereby giving this novena tremendous power), should NEVER HAVE BEEN REMOVED, because they create the necessary “great confidence” in the heart of the petitioner, that the “knots”, no matter how hopeless and complex, will ABSOLUTELY be “untied” and those are these two original sentences directed toward the BVM; “NO ONE , not even the EVIL ONE HIMSELF , can take it away from YOUR PRECIOUS CARE. IN YOUR HANDS THERE IS NO KNOT THAT CANNOT BE UNDONE”

Wow! Those two sentences should NEVER have been removed in any newer version, because that is the basis of the BVM’s unfaltering influence with her Son Jesus as an intercessor, despite ANY opposition, even the most evil and seemingly powerful. That’s the only reason I considered taking off a star for a second. No problem though because I just add it verbally every time I say it. It’s still very gorgeous …
