Another interesting case for agent Simon Phelps and agent Amber Young handling another case in town known as Verdice where the city is surrounded by water and some little islands. In this city there are different bridges, and it is the only way that the other part of the city is connected. There is also a university and in this university is the math department. There are also people who are each other due to mathematical equations. This killer is making use of the bridge to kill women he thinks are better than him.

So, these two agents are sent to help the local PD to find the serial killer who has succeeded to killing three women. They had to set a trapped for the killer and end up getting him. On the other hand, the agents have their different relationship problems and are handling it in their own ways. Amber is shocked to discover that Joseph has been beaten up and her notebook with her thoughts (personal and covering puzzles) has been left by him. While he is at the hospital, she must work on a case that involves an impossible-to-solve puzzle. She is also intrigued by her personal feelings towards her partner, Simon. To get to the culprit, she places herself in great danger and the end of the story is a small example of what is to come. Entertaining!
