About this audiobook
Mr. Thipps wakes up to the worst day ever. A dead body in his bathtub wearing nothing but a pair of pince-nez. So many questions.
Luckily, Lord Peter Wimsey catches wind of this – for he has a keen mind for solving crimes, although he is the pampered aristocratic amateur. With the connections that privilege offers, he has returned somewhat battered from the war with a penchant for crime solving. This case of near-sighted nudity, taking place during the plague of 1918, takes on twists and turns both unforeseen and unwelcome.
Dorothy Sayers was a scholar, crime writer, and poet. She is best known for her Lord Peter Wimsey novels set between World Wars I and II. Whose Body is the first of these riveting reads.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I felt a sense of sadness as the author described the horrors of the Great War. It brings home the effect of the battlefield on all those who were there. Even the most urbane of the Aristocracy, our hero Lord Peter Wimsey.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Liked the narrator and a great introduction to Ms Sayers work.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Really excellent reading. Just superlative. I had already read this myself but I wanted something to listen to in bed.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very much enjoyed the narration! It’s Sayers, so I truly expected the story to be a good one! I think the tone, feeling and writing has held up well and I had no difficulty following the story or understanding the references and inferences! I’m a Christie fan, and felt that all that I had read about Sayers’ work could not help but be interesting and favorable. On to the next!
