I really want to rate this higher but I can't. The first 2/3 of the book is excellent. A beautiful character-driven story about overcoming heartbreak. It was done so well. Really great depictions of D/s dynamics.

But once the third guy is reintroduced, the whole thing crumbles. The more integrated he is, the further from reality it travels. The book goes from being raw real people overcoming hurdles in life, to a fantasy wish-fullfill-y surface-level smut-fest between caricatures.

What happened to these guys? Where are the calm level-headed logical men who think things through, communicate, are honest. When you enter a poly relationship you need to amp up the communication, not the opposite.

As a result, their dynamic doesn't work at all. This is what monogamous people think poly looks like. This is NOT how a healthy poly dynamic functions. Tbh, it was really repulsive by the end. MC even thinks to themselves - after sex - that they don't know how the dynamic will work. So it's not just the reader who's lost, the characters are too?! No thank you.

Wow! This book was so dang ?. I'll definitely be buying this audio to replay over and over. I loved how much Kaden grew as a man and lover. I was so happy to see the ending of how it all played out. I'll be checking out more of your books for sure
