      Decent first contact military scifi trilogy! :) Doesn't spend too long down any trope filled rabbit holes, story moves fairly briskly and a decent effort is made to flesh out the characters. RC bray is a great choice to narrate and does an excellent job! This first part perhaps works best, as a short story everything's pretty well covered!
