The story line is a strong one with background in law enforcement with the different federal government agencies. Hurting an escape prisoner. Known as a violent offense. This two partners did work as hard as they could until the solve the crime and caught the serial killer who was one of the prison guard.

Alexa is totally driven by hunting killers and bringing them to justice, so much so, that she is annoyed by her new partner's behavior when he talks about his girlfriend and their personal life. In The Killing Hour, their hunt for a serial killer who escaped from jail turns in the hunt for his copycat. The plot is full of twists and turns and most leads get the duo nowhere until a telephone call makes a difference! Alexa is also fighting with all her inner power the darkness she recognizes she has and reading her mentor's diary is enlightening her on which path she should take. A very good story that should be marked as a must-read by all.

Entertaining as the rest, with a (sort of predictable) plot twist, this novel is also a very nice installment in the Alexa Chase saga (I see what Bold did there ?).

Book title is not relevant to the story. Some wordiness. Over all OK though Alexa's thoughts emotions and actions she berates herself for are on a normal spectrum so why the overall ooooh "I have deep badness inside me" confuses.

The story is great! The narrator, not so much. He even stumbled on words which speaks to the editing. If the story hasn’t been interesting I would’ve stopped listening before the end of the first chapter. I’ve heard 5th graders read better.
