About this audiobook
One Sunday morning, as Maria savours the breeze through the kitchen window whilst making apricot jam, she hears the screech and bump that announces the arrival of her good friend and editor Harriet. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5As a SA expat, this book is super nostalgic and a wonderful reflection of a half English, half South African culture. Plus all the sensory memories so accurately captured in such beautiful language.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fantastic, love how writer really gave this story a "lokal" flavour, painting such a beautiful picture of where Tannie and her where she lives and the wonderful characters that surround her including her lovely chickens
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A colorful page turner, full of suspense and brilliantly read!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked it. It was such a cute story with the element of mystery and romance. I love all the South African expressions and the recipes. A good narrator is really important, and this narration was really good with the accents. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
