About this audiobook

At midnight, one of them is dead. By morning, all of them are suspects.

It's the party to end all parties . . . but not everyone is here to celebrate.

On New Year's Eve, Rhys Lloyd has a house full of guests. His vacation homes on Mirror Lake are a success, and he's generously invited the village to drink champagne with their wealthy new neighbors.

But by midnight, Rhys will be floating dead in the freezing waters of the lake.

On New Year's Day, Ffion Morgan has a village full of suspects. The tiny community is her home, so the suspects are her neighbors, friends and family-and Ffion has her own secrets to protect.

With a lie uncovered at every turn, soon the question isn't who wanted Rhys dead . . . but who finally killed him.

In a village with this many secrets, murder is just the beginning.

Absolutely fabulous, expecting a run of the mill thriller but this was so much more than that. Kept me guessing until the end and then even one last twist on the final pages.

In a town in Wales where everyone knows everyone. We meet the people who live there and all their stories. When one of their more famous residents is murdered all the towns secrets surface. This is a lovely twisty tale with surprises and the reader continuously on pins and needles about who committed this crime
Well written with lots of details and characters you will get invested in . Great read

This was a fun whodunnit - with a diverse group of characters who almost all have a reason to have "dunnit" - including one of the detectives working the case. The writing is excellent - providing an excellent sense of place and atmosphere without going overboard on the descriptive language. Most importantly it's got a couple of interesting main characters in this first book in a planned series - characters that make me look forward to the next book in the series.

This book was very messy. A lot of drama. A lot of ties, infidelities and questionable relations. A mystery you must solve but not until the very end.

Wish I could have made it through the first chapter. The narrator is hard to understand.
