      This was my favorite of the series and I LOVE this series. It is wonderful make believe knights and a weird kingdom. The relationships are wonderful. The women are terrific. The court intrigue (in the other books) fund. I have really really enjoyed every single installment and I wish there were 20 more!!!

      This is the 4th Alice coldbreath book I've listened to and it's equal to her first in fun and romance between a very tough and surly man and a wallflower who finds her character through not being beautiful. Their transformation and also the plot was very nice and satisfying. The final dialogue when he grovelled nearly brought tears to my eyes. Love a good grovel and a brutish repentant man. Be prepared for steamy scenes

      Lenora might be my favorite heroine of the entire series. She really blossomed in this and the H never doubted just how lucky he was to have her, “deformity” or not. Loved every page.
