- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awaking Wonder stands as the best nonfiction book I have read in 2020. Sally Clarkson’s heart for encouraging parents to embrace wonder resonates on every page of the book. She offers fascinating insights into her personal journey as she presents her case for the importance of cultivating wonder. She challenges parents to strive for ideals and model attributes they want their children to emulate. Yet, she balances ideals with real life realities such as household chores and family conflicts. Near the end, she discusses openly what she would have done differently. Reading Awaking Wonder felt like sitting down with a wise, beloved mentor. I felt affirmed in my choice to homeschool. Certain suggestions and ideals inspired me to strive for excellence. Most importantly, the author’s encouragement infused me with excitement and joy to continue our homeschooling journey.I recommend Awaking Wonder: Opening Your Child’s Heart to the Beauty of Learning by Sally Clarkson to all homeschooling parents. Though the concepts of the book can be applied by all parents, the heart of this book is centered on homeschool-style education.Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a copy of this book by the author or publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I enjoy Sally Clarkson a lot and look up to her, however, this book felt slow and super repetitive. I gleaned a few things from it but I’m thankful that I could read thru this on 2x speed.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I am so inspired, and committed to this journey. I have made peace with my home, my garden, my insecurities. I look forward to being an excellent Mom, and doing the best for my precious children. I love my family more (if that was even possible) and I feel so much gratitude that these are my children. My family. My home. My garden. Thank you!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Relatable, and so encouraging. It easily inspires that small whisper in your heart to teach your children well.
