About this audiobook

A fast-paced teen revenge-thriller from the author of Dial A for Aunties, The Obsession will keep listeners on the edge of their seats until the very end.

Boy Meets Girl. Boy Stalks Girl. Girl Gets Revenge.

Logan thinks he and Delilah are meant to be. Delilah doesn't know who Logan is.

Logan believes no one knows Delilah like him. He makes sure of it by learning everything he can by watching her through a hidden camera. Some might call him a stalker. Logan prefers to be called "romantic".

Delilah is keeping secrets though, deadly ones. There's so much more to her than meets the eye.

Logan is determined to make Delilah the heroine in his twisted fantasy and he'll do anything to get what he wants.

Delilah is done with the men in her life controlling her. If Logan won't let her go . . . she'll make him.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some found the characters insane and in need of help, while others found the concept interesting but couldn't finish due to issues with the narration and dialogue. Such an interesting concept for a book. I had to stop at chapter two. You can hear the female narrator breathe before each sentence. I wish that was edited out but maybe it’s just me. Couldn’t finish it after that.

What did i just read? This book is crazy. The main characters Both were insane and in need of help. This book was like a teen version of the show you. I dont know how i feel about it to be honest. I couldn't put it down but i hated every character. Just wanted to know who will win at the end. I also feel like so much was missing. Maybe there will be a part two.

Couldn’t finish. The narration and dialogue were really overdramatic, and the narrator for Delilah sounded nothing like a teenager. I have liked many of the author’s other books but I couldn’t listen to this long enough to get invested in it. The followup to this one is much better.

I have had this book and the next couple books in this series on my long to be read pile for a while. I have been wanting to read it and see what the series was all about. I finally picked up the first book. Yep, this book is right up my really alley. A good story line and characters.

Although, I did find Special Agent Jess to be a little weak. I thought she would have been stronger with her skills in solving cases. Yet, I found myself more drawn to the case itself then her solving it. I am giving her a tiny break as this is the first book in the series and I did find her for the most part good. A fast pace read that did keep my attention. I am now interested to see how book two goes and if Jess has grown from this book.

From the minute I started this book until the last page I didn't want to put this book down. Even as I write this I want to get the next book in the series because I have to know what happens to the characters next. This book has so much suspense that I literally didn't want to put it down until I finished the book because I had to know what happened next. The author is amazing and I am for sure going to be reading more of her books.

I should probably give this four stars because I read it in two days and have already purchased the next two titles in the series. I'm leaving it at three because it's a pretty fast paced read. I did appreciate that it's not like some romantic suspense where the emphasis is on romance. The lead characters have a history and I look forward to seeing how the relationship shifts. (Certainly they will have a happy ending.) I'm sticking with three stars because I figured out the motivation for evil early in the book. Still, I didn't mind seeing how things got wrapped up. Lastly, these are bargain priced ($3.99) and this book was so much better than some titles that cost double/triple/quadruple that amount.

FBI Agent Jess Harris has returned to her hometown of Birmingham, Alabama to help with a kidnapping case. Four young girls are missing and time is running out for them. Police Chief Dan Burnett has reached out to Jess, his long-ago love, for help. Jess is ready for a case and she is grateful for something to keep her mind busy as her career at the FBI is falling apart.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked Jess and Dan along with some of the other police characters. I also got a definite southern vibe from the book. I also liked the parts dealing with the girls and the struggle to stay alive. There was action but there is also a lot or time for the characters. The book is not gory and actually had very little sex. So if you like your thrillers on the softer side this might be just the thing.
