When Felix lands a job taking care of a man recovering from severe injuries, he thinks his life may have just turned around. Anything has to be better than the place he's leaving. There's something about Lane that draws Felix to him and makes him question if this place could finally become a home for him. But when someone begins stalking Felix, he is left to question who Lane is and what actually happened to him.

Together, Felix and Lane will be forced to see just how far they will go to protect each other. Being chased by cops, kidnapping a man, and breaking into a drug operation seems to be his normal since arriving in Lane's life. Felix may be out of his element, but one thing he is sure about is that he doesn't want to leave, even if it costs him his life.

This is such a great book. It's witty, funny , interesting , well written and woderfully read. Wasn't a great fan of this lector before but here he does an amazing job. His voice fits Felix perfectly. And Felix- since now on one of my fav characters. He's a little sh*t but I love him to bits anyway and would let him steal anything . Chaotic neutral indeed.

It had a perfect balance between humor, romance and mystery. Plus it had First person Pov, Double Pov, Low angst, Fast pace. The dynamic between the MCs was priceless. Banter and bickering that made me laugh and brightened my days. I loved it

Sadly this was the first book in my adult life I had to force myself to finish. The characters getting together made no sense was way way too fast even for me. The “funny jabs” (which I usually love) were not funny and were mostly just mean. The cop work was the only semi interesting part but even that didn’t have enough depth sadly. So sad to say I won’t be continuing this series and I don’t recommend the read.

I loved it, I just wish authors would reduce the “he said “ out of their dialogues, especially if the narration is so good, listeners can tell themselves who said what
