This book series, or more so the author, seems to believe that most people are stupid, evil, or both. I get he wants to show how smart and kind his protagonists are and how desperate the rest of the world is; but it get obnoxious after a while. Also, the narrative slips into male power fantasy sometimes which takes me right out of the story. Not terrible, will continue the series, but definitely just okay.
