About this audiobook
Invading troops with deadly virus. A young man fighting for his life. Will flesh-eating monsters run out the clock on America’s future?
Northern California, 1985. Former high school quarterback Leo Cecchino sacrificed his dreams for his family. Unfulfilled by the daily grind of their ailing farm, he can’t help but feel resentment. But he’s soon redirecting his smoldering frustration into battle rage when his small town is invaded by bloodthirsty Russians armed with a zombie virus.
Forced from his home to a secret hideaway, Leo tries desperately to spread the word and defend his country. But with the Soviets and their ravenous puppets firmly in control, it may rest on Leo and his hastily created counterattack playbook to save them all from a grisly death.
Can Leo snatch victory from the undead jaws of defeat?
Red Virus is the first book in the gripping Zommunist Invasion zombie apocalypse series. If you like small-town heroes, pulse-pounding action, and drooling enemies, then you’ll love Camille Picott’s page-turning tale.

Camille Picott
Camille Picott has been writing novels about the End of the World & Beyond since she was twelve years old. Among her books you can find dystopia and zombie stories, how-to manuals for speculative fiction authors, and Asian-inspired fantasy novels. Camille loves nothing more than penning an epic action scene or pushing a character to her limits. Camille loves cooking and running absurdly long distances. It’s not unusual to find her chopping veggies in the kitchen late at night or hitting the trail in her running shoes long before the sun rises. She considers sleep to be optional and largely overrated.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Basically red dawn with zombies but that's what I loved about it
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Red dawn with zombies. Be prepared to speed up the audio. The narrator speaks really slow.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Agree with the assessment that this is just Red Dawn with zombies. The author really really wants the listener/reader to know that the invaders are Russians. I love zombie novels and I would put this one in the lower 30%. The narrator sounds as bored as I felt during this one.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Good book. If you have issues with narrator's cadence....Skip this one.
