About this audiobook

It was intended to eradicate the common cold; instead it eradicated most of the human race. A genetically modified virus killer mutates, transforming everyone it infects into zombies. As it rapidly spreads across the globe, small groups of survivors battle to stay alive and escape the growing hordes of flesh eaters. Tom, Becky and their two children are on a family holiday when the virus hits. Follow them as they try to fight their way to safety, gathering others along the way.
They soon realise that their best chance of survival will be to reach an ancient symbol of power and strength. Their future and safety lie behind a castle's walls. Together they must undertake a daunting one-hundred-mile journey. Will they make it?

New author for me and took a while to get use to the British accent of the narrator. Like learning what the British call different items so this series should be educational also.
Do advise it has very graffiti dialogue.

Loved the explanation for the Zombie Virus. Actually realistic! Great storyline. Again, their survival was based on realism and not that they suddenly gained superhuman fighting abilities or could just survived with no realistic explanation. Overall, loved this book.

A different take into the Zombie Apocalypse with a family man getting his strength from the love of his wife and kids to pursue a safe place to protect them. Many Zombie storylines introduced mean and full of themselves protagonists and thus I’m glad that we are introduced to well liked characters that resemble the average Joe and Jane. It is predictable but it is entertaining for the feel good vibes.

Thoroughly enjoyable! I loved the English accent and the unexpected humour, bursting out laughing regularly. Will be listening to the full series.
