About this audiobook

Winter has arrived, the walking dead are hungry, and Ginny and Lee's small group of survivors is making its way towards New York. Other survivors, shaking off the daze of catastrophe, are moving as well. In a wasteland of snow and failing power, of course the zombies are dangerous . . . but it's the other people you really have to watch out for.

It's gonna be a long trip . . .

This series had great potential. I really liked that it started at the very beginning of the crisis, rather than weeks or months into it as many books do.
However, the cliched characters & continuous judgmental inner dialogue from the insufferable SJW lead female character is just too much. I just kept questioning why anyone would want to save her. She is awful. The attempts at dIvErSiTy by throwing a representative to every “oppressed” group is patronizing.
The gay couple is happy zombies are roaming the earth because now they don’t have to go to church or deal with disapproving parents? Who are trailer living southerners, of course.
Lazy character development or too emboldened to virtue signaling, either way, it ruined a potentially fantastic zombie series.

Worth the time, great characters and settings. As well as a very talented narrator, well done series
