About this audiobook

Sometimes life’s most precious treasure lies at Dangerous Depths.

Leia ditched a promising medical career to settle on a secluded island of Hawaii. She ditched Bane, too, and he’s
come to the island to find out why. He’s also in search of a fortune rumored to lie offshore. But an act of sabotage
that pushes Bane closer to Leia plunges them both into a tangle of emotion—just as a series of threatening events grip
the island.

Theft, a friend’s death, a bizarre intruder, hints of a second treasure … and even murder—how can they sort it all
out when everyone on the island has something to hide?

Often a third in a series might get repetitive. However, Colleen Coble continues the intriguing plot in this book with some different twists and turns.

This is the third story in this series and once again the author does an excellent job of making you feel the life and lifestyle of those living in Hawaii and the the surrounding islands. It is another story of mystery and danger and I never quite figured out all the missing pieces until I got near the end of the book. I did have a harder time connecting to the two main characters in this story; I liked them, but at times it wasn't a story I couldn't put down until I finished.Leia Kahale is living on a secluded island of Hawaii helping out the less fortunate with medical care. She was once engaged to Bane Oanu (who you would kind of know from reading the other two stories before this one), but broke it off without a good explanation. Bane is back on her island searching for an archaeological fortune somewhere offshore, and to hopefully rekindle the romance that they once had. An act of sabotage will draw Bane and Leia closer as they try to figure what is going on and who is behind the thefts, a friend's death and even murder. It seems like the finger could be pointing in many different directions. I especially like how the author always brings one of my favorite characters into each of these stories, Nani, the dolphin. Get ready to go exploring into the 'dangerous depths' off the shores of beautiful Hawaii.

I think the first in this series spoiled me; I liked Kaia best out of the Oanas. However, I enjoy this series and am sad that it's done! (And yes, I have read the novella Holy Night.) I guess on to the next series.
