About this audiobook
Which door would you go through to save the world?
David, Xander, and Toria King never know what new adventures—and dangers—await them beyond the mysterious portals hidden on the top floor of their new house. They have battled gladiators and the German army, dodged soldiers on both sides of the Civil War, and barely escaped a fierce attack in their own home.
Still they are no closer to finding their mother, who was pulled by powerful forces through a portal and lost in time.
Their only hope is to turn the tables on Taksidian, the menacing stranger who wants them out of the house so he can use it for his own twisted purposes.
But everything changes when a trip into the near future reveals the devastating outcome of Taksidian’s schemes—a destroyed city filled with mutant creatures. It is only then that the Kings realize what they’re really fighting for—the fate of humanity itself.
“If you like creepy and mysterious, this is the house for you! Every room opens a door to magic, true horror, and amazing surprises. I loved wandering around in these books. With a house of so many great, haunting stories, why would you ever want to go outside?” —R.L. Stine, bestselling author of the Fear Street and Goosebumps series

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Kings continue their adventure throughout their house while looking for their mother. Each portal leads to a different world with creatures that may or may not mean them harm. They won't know until it' may be too late and they may all be in danger of being trapped in a world far different than the one they know. This is the 3rd book in the series. It's actually for young teens but it is a compelling story filled with adventures. You don't have to be a kid to thoroughly enjoy this series.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Yeah, still couldn't tell you what happened in book 3 and what happened in this one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Great novel in the Dreamhouse King's series. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment. Each book is as exciting as the next!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Timescape is the fourth book in the Dreamhouse Kings series. In previous books they have found the real reason they moved into the house, lost their mother into one of the portals, come face to face with Taksidian and man from another time. By the time we get to the fourth book the family has taken things in a different direction. They are still searching for their mother. However, knowing that Taksidian has tried everything to get them out of the house they are taking no chances. They keep hearing intruders upstairs. They have decided to go after Taksidian instead of waiting for him to come to them. This book had one of the best endings of the four books. I can't wait until the fifth book comes out. My students have been devouring them. They are keeping them checked out with a list of who gets them next
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The Dreamhouse Kings series is a great disappointment to me. Robert Liparulo's books for adults are so good, the young adult series should be much better. In a good series several things should be present. Each book should advance the overall plot. Each book should have a plot of its own, with a beginning, middle, and end. "Timescape" did virtually nothing to advance the overall plot, and it lacked a beginning or an end. It simply picked up where Book 3 left us hanging, and then left us hanging at the end of Book 4. I hate to stop reading, after having invested time and money in four books, but at some point one must stop throwing good money after bad. I may not bother with the future books.
