About this audiobook
A NATIONAL BESTSELLER
From the author of The Islanders comes a warm, witty and suspenseful novel filled with small-town secrets, summer romance, big time lies and spiked seltzer, in the vein of Liane Moriarty.
Truth: Sherri Griffin and her daughter, Katie, recently moved to the idyllic beach town of Newburyport, Massachusetts. They’ve been welcomed by Rebecca Coleman, unofficial former leader of the Newburyport Mom Squad, and her teenage daughter Alexa, Katie’s new babysitter.
Truth: Alexa has time on her hands after a falling-out with her friends involving her popular YouTube channel. Katie can’t be left alone because of nightmares that don’t jibe with Sherri’s vague story about her past. Rebecca Coleman has been spending time with someone she doesn’t want people to know about just yet.
Lie: There’s no new man in Rebecca’s life, and it’s definitely not one connected to the Mom Squad. Alexa isn’t seeing anyone new herself and plans on shutting down her YouTube channel before leaving for college. Sherri Griffin’s real name is Sherri Griffin, and a bad divorce is all she’s running from.
A blend of propulsive thriller and gorgeous summer read, Two Truths and a Lie reminds us that happiness isn’t always a day at the beach, some secrets aren’t meant to be shared, and the most precious things are the people we love.

Reviews for Two Truths and a Lie
103 ratings9 reviews
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The book seemed long with a lot of needless drama that didn’t move the story.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I cannot stand the "personalities" , no need to spend my free time reading this book. I made an effort with first pages. Not my cup of tea.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5After really enjoying "Traveling Light", I was looking forward to reading another by Kittle. I just couldn't get into this one and finally put it aside after 50 pages. It's at my local library so I'll try again on another occasion.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Another fun if slightly wicked book to read this summer. There’s some mystery, a perfect setting and interesting characters. And those moms---I wanted to slap them. They are mean catty and judgmental. Lots of secrets come out in this book, and like many summer books, it had a predictable but enjoyable ending.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this book but because it was compared in some reviews comparable to Liane Moriaty's books I kept waiting for the great twist and turn and it never came. The writing was great and characters I loved, so lacking suspense was the only thing that kept it from being a 5 star in my eyes.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Blah. Beach read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My Review: Good book; lots of suspenseful build-up, but didn’t lead to much
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The alternating voices enhances the question of truth and lies - what do things look like? what is really happening? where is the truth amid the lies? There is the mom & daughter running from danger, living a lie literally to save their lives. But then there is the widow and her daughter, each hiding their true selves from their friends and each other. Interestingly enough, it is the teenager that comes to the realization that honesty can be nuanced. The best part of this story is the relationships and how they develop.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Traveling Light was my first read by this author, and I enjoyed it so much I picked up Two Truths and a Lie. I am not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed this book also. I love how Katrina Kittle combines fiction with life's social issues, problems, family relations, communication, and in this book our relationships/communications with our animal friends/pets. Along with all this there was suspense in the story with enough twists to keep me reading to find out "who did it". I look forward to reading more books by this author.
