About this audiobook

“The undisputed king of the comic crime novel.”
Providence Journal

Nobody does Florida weirdness quite like Tim Dorsey! Case in point: When Elves Attack, the New York Times bestselling author’s twisted Christmas present to his legion of adoring fans who can’t get enough of thrill-killer and Sunshine State historian Serge A. Storms, the most endearing psychopath since Dexter. Dorsey offers the perfect antidote for all those sappy feel-good holiday stories with this zany blockbuster extravaganza in which his wonderfully deranged serial killer Floridaphile delivers his special brand of Christmas cheer. More outrageous than Santa Claus in a Speedo, When Elves Attack serves up a Yuletide feast of the “pure gonzo humor” the New York Times Book Review enthusiastically attributes to this fearlessly funny writer. Think Bad Santa and National Lampoon’s Family Vacation, blend in Dorsey’s trademark appetite for destruction, and you’ve got hilarious crime fiction black comedy that anyone would be thrilled to discover stuffed in their Christmas stocking.

A funny, irreverent holiday tale of a couple of criminals who choose to distribute moral justice against those who show disrespect for others and for the spirit of the season. Their war on Christmas reaches amusing levels when their elf selves are joined by prostitutes, wild and renegade old ladies on the lame from the retirement home, and a family who can't seem to keep out of the center of the fight. This book read so quick, and it was a rapid fire romp filled with surprises and laughs. It was a perfect read for the Christmas season when things can get so stressful. You can't help but chuckle over the antics of these wise guys. Totally recommended for an escape from reality!

Serge Storms, local serial killer decides this year he's going to "Do Christmas Big". He and Coleman spend time in Tampa doing just that and pestering Serge's mentor Jim Davenport in the process.A nice holiday jaunt with infamous Floridian serial killer Serge Storms. With appearances by Coleman, the Davenports, City and Country and the G-unit.

If you are a fan of Serge and Coleman, another good read. Not the longest book but then the story is not the strongest either. I enjoy just about anything these two do but at times this book seemed jumpy, even for them. Still, for hardcore fans, a must read and must own.

When Elves Attack had me laughing outloud, it is so outrageous. I feel a little guilty about enjoying it so much because of the high level of violence - but the situations are so absurdly funny! What can I say?

Great book quick read. If you love Serge and Colman you will like this book. It combines these two characters, plus the 4 olld ladies investment club, City and Country, make an appearence, as do.... The Davenports! What is not to like!Fun book, can't wait for his next one.

A pre-publication Amazon Vine review:"When Elves Attack" is classic creative, manic Serge, but softened with Christmas Cheer and Goodwill Toward Men. Yes, Serge breaks laws left and right, but in a Robin Hood kind of way. He extracts revenge on those so misguided as to threaten his friends, steal a plaque in memory of veterans of The Greatest Generation and harm helpless women. Serge acts on the desires of onlookers in avenging these offensive actions, all to uphold the standards of common decency in family and neighborhood. Serge strives to be just like Jim Davenport, his longtime friend and image of the ideal father and husband. Serge wants to learn to be a family, with his buddy Coleman and a couple of shapely women also on the lam, City and Country. This book is a dish of marshmallow fluff for Christmas, filled with laugh-out-loud moments. The holiday party includes Serge's friends Edith, Ethel and Eunice, escapees from a rest home. These old birds are ready to get down with fun. "Stayin' alive" is their theme song, and they rock! Extreme Caroling wearing tiny elf costumes was their cup of tea, and Coleman lapped up the free egg nog handed out by the appreciative "carolees." What a good time for all!Since you have the flavor of "When Elves Attack," I'll hold off on details to preserve this holiday chuckle for the unread. Just expect typical Serge "taking Christmas big!" Holiday traditions are observed in Serge's exaggerated, obsessive fashion, to the delight of his aberrant collection of friends and readers alike.
