Roan Parrish

Roan Parrish lives in Philadelphia, where she’s gradually attempting to write love stories in every genre. When not writing, she can be found cutting her friends’ hair, meandering through the city while listening to torch songs andmelodic death metal, or cooking overly elaborate meals. She loves bonfires, winter beaches, minor chord harmonies, and self-tattooing. One time she may ormay not have baked a six-layer chocolate cake and then thrown it out the windowin a fit of pique.

I actually really enjoyed this one! I really appreciated that part of the focus of the story was intergenerational, friendships, and relationships. I also really loved the emotional intelligence that was demonstrated through Greta‘s development. Overall, it was very cute, and I enjoyed it.

Truman and Ash are great! I couldn’t stand the love interest for Greta. Good book though!

I enjoyed all the characters except one. I wish there were less chapters for Truman, as his character annoyed me.

This starts as two stories of heartbreak on different levels. It becomes two equally beautiful love stories. It starts out very The Holiday let's swap houses and have new experiences. That is where it becomes it's own tale. RP is an author I have enjoyed q handful of titles from and this is the opus. Two couples meet cute fall in love it's written so naturally and there is no forced drama. Love the characters themselves and their support systems. Just Beautiful!

Loved the Jewish stuff in this one, even tho gh it wasn't a huge amount, as it's not something I'm very familiar with. Loved the LGBTQ rep too. Otherwise it was an ok book. Liked the characters well enough and the plot line. Just felt a bit long/slow for me considering the amount of time passed in the book.

If you want a cute queer romance with reflections on how your upbringing and family impacts you, I'd recommend it.
