There is a bit of Christian subtex here along with the incorrect statement that the US is a Christian country. It is not, read the US Constitution. And a bit of anachronistic sexism rears its ugly head. Not what I expected from a knitting mystery.

Susan Boyce did an excellent job with the Spanish language passages in a later chapter, but her pronunciation changes of the main character's last name (3 versions over the book...and several shifts back and forth) drove me nuts. Some of the characters were presented with simpering voices that did not match their personalities, while others were given the opposite. The book itself is the worst of the series...padded with unnecessary detail, entire chapters that had nothing to do with the plot/lives of the characters, and a slow, tedious, obvious mystery.
